Are you able to vote in Alberta?

To be eligible to vote, you must be:

  • a Canadian citizen

  • at least 18 years of age on Election Day

  • ordinarily resident in Alberta

ID required to Vote

If you are not on the list of electors, you must provide identification proving your name and address to register. You can provide one piece of government-issued ID containing your photograph, your name, and current address (such as your Drivers Licence or Alberta Identification Card). Or, if you cannot provide government issued ID, you must provide two pieces of authorized ID. Both must have your name. One must have your current physical address.


SPECIAL BALLOT INFORMATION - ALBERTA ELECTION 2019

Are you resident of Alberta? Do you wish to to vote in the upcoming election, but..

  • will be out of town, away from your residence

  • are working or studying away from your residence

  • are physically incapacitated
